Lafourche Parish School District Phase III
St. Charles Elementary School has officially been selected as a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School. We are one of only 24 Title I elementary schools in the nation to receive the honor of being recognized as an exemplary achievement gap closing school for 2019.
Our teachers, staff, students, parents, and the entire St. Charles Community should be proud of this achievement. This is the result of a community that strives for continued progress and growth. We expect nothing less than success. Thank you for your dedication to excellence.
All visitors may park in the bus loading area or asphalt court on the Raceland side of the building.
Visitors may report to the back door/back porch of the main building, and call the school or ring the doorbell to contact the office.
Visitors will never enter campus through an unlocked door.
Visitors coming on campus will have a wellness screening, temperature taken, and must wear a mask.

New Student Registration

Documents needed to register a new student:
- Proof of Residency ( 2 forms - electricity, water, and/or gas)
- Student Birth Certificate
- Student Social Security Card
- Student Shot Records
Summer Registration hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
8:00 Arrive on Campus
8:30 Classes Begin
3:30 Classes End
Bus Routes : Keep in mind that bus drivers have to disinfect their bus after each route. This process takes about 12 minutes to complete.
Times are based on last year's students and routes.

|Goal #1: SCES will meet or exceed a School Performance Score of 96.6, which is an increase of 2.4 points.|
|Goal #2: SCES will increase our ELA index from 103.3 to 106.8, which is a 3.5 point increase.|
|Goal #3: SCES will increase our MATH index from 94.58 to 99.08, which is a 4.5 increase.|

St. Charles Elementary Nominated as Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing School!!!!
St. Charles Elementary has been nominated by Louisiana to join the esteemed community of National Blue Ribbon Schools.
National Blue Ribbon Schools are public and non-public elementary, middle, and high schools that are producing outstanding results for all students. They have demonstrated consistent excellence, and made progress in closing gaps in student achievement. The National Blue Ribbon Schools recognition program is part of a larger U. S. Department of Education effort to identify and disseminate knowledge about effective school leadership and promising instructional practices.
