PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Wildcat Families,
Welcome to a new year full of excitement, and a new chapter for St. Charles Elementary. Our theme this year, Wild About Learning, calls on faculty and students alike to embrace opportunities for personal, academic, and social-emotional growth. Our school's mission is to work together to become better students, good citizens, and lifelong learners. We will achieve this by focusing on our core philosophy. We believe that with the dedicated efforts of our teachers, parents, and community, every student can reach their full potential.
This year, our main school goal is to build student’s communications skills, both written and verbal, for the purpose of achieving greater academic proficiency in all subject areas and building positive relationships. In English Language Arts, we will ensure every student is able to develop robust reading and written communication skills. In math, our instruction will focus on heightening reasoning and modeling skills with particular attention to written expression of ideas. In science, students will harness their ability to explain their scientific reasoning through writing. In social studies, we will grow students’ ability to examine sources and express claims in writing. We are also dedicated to improving our school's climate and culture by strengthening peer relationships through effective communication to ensure every student feels safe and respected.
At St. Charles Elementary, we expect nothing less than success. Success means being better than you were the day before!
Sincerely,
Jessica LeBlanc
Principal
