Rise and Shine, Wildcats!
I am thrilled to kick off a new school year with our amazing Wildcat family. Our theme this year, Rise and Shine, is a call for faculty and students alike to rise to new challenges, so we can shine for our most successful year yet. Our school's mission is to work together to become better students, good citizens, and lifelong learners. We will achieve this by focusing on our core philosophy. We believe that with the dedicated efforts of our teachers, parents, and community, every student can reach their full potential.
This year, our main school goals are to achieve greater academic proficiency in all subjects while also building a positive, supportive school community. In English Language Arts, we'll focus on building a strong early literacy foundation to ensure every student is able to develop robust reading and writing skills. In math, we'll provide teachers and parents with the tools and resources they need to maximize each child’s learning. Developing strong science and social studies skills is essential for bolstering critical thinking, a deep understanding of the world, and the ability to be an informed, engaged citizen. Finally, we're dedicated to improving our school's climate and culture by strengthening peer relationships and ensuring every student feels safe and respected.
At St. Charles Elementary, we expect nothing less than success. Success means being better than you were the day before!
